You could use these spark plugs on a modified Peugeot 208 GTi or Citroen DS3 Performance which is running over 250hp although the plug "CT308GTISPKPLGSRANGE8" which has a 0.6mm gap is better suited for that due to the higher compression ratio.


Spark plugs play a vital role in the cylinders of your engine. When plugs ignite the fuel in the combustion chamber they then help to transfer the heat from the cylinder into the head and out of the engine. This is why you see spark plugs that have a different heat operating ranges. As you increase the boost on a modified turbo engine the air entering the chamber will be hotter so you have a hotter combustion cycle which requires more heat to be removed so to stay with a healthy operating temperature. When the exhaust gas temperature is extremely and since the ECU is monitoring this the car will add fuel into the process to keep things cool enough, there’s a point when it cannot add more fuel (or enough of it) so fitting the right spark plugs for your level of tune is important. Generally around stage 2 things are getting pretty hot for spark plugs and at that level of modification it can be a good idea to fit colder spark plugs.
