The OE silicone turbo inlet sleeve can wear after a few disconnect and reconnetions alowing the turbo inlet pipe to work its way off the turbo which will cause a check engine light (CEL).
The OE turbo inlet seal is also quite difficult to push back onto the turbo inlet which can make it a time consuming process. This OE silicone can break down over a period of time and it has been known for the sleeve to be consumed by the turbo comperssor blades into the engine.
This replacement slilicone turbo inlet sleeve which sits inside the upper turbo intake pipe after removing the ome sleeve makes it much easier to connect and disconnect the induction pipes. On modified cars parts are removed and reconnected many times during routine maintenence which is why this is great upgrade for you.
This part fits inside the stock turbo inlet pipe and is a replacement for the OE part.
